Aubrey's Dedication

Today we dedicated Aubrey at church! It was such a special day for our family and reiterated the enormous responsibility and privilege that God has given us. I pray that both our girls will personally know, love and serve the one Living God with all of their hearts, all of their lives.

God thank you so much for these precious little miracles that you have brought into our lives.
Aubrey waved to the congregation as her verse was read!

After lunch with Papa and Gigi, the girls enjoyed there first ever sister sandbox time! Aubrey enjoyed her first experience in the sandbox, although I did have to remove sand from her mouth a couple of times!

Getting to know you.....getting to know all about you!

Our new addition, Ronix, is quickly becoming integrated into our family. He loves Mr. Bay and although I think Mr. Bay is enjoying having his company, he is not enjoying the sharp puppy teeth that continue to nag at his ears. He is, however, tolerating him......being the gentle spirit that he is!
Ava is officially a "momma" and she refers to herself that way! She has told us several times that she needs to watch Mr. Bay and Ronix eat and sleep as she is their momma and can never leave them! It is so sweet. But when Ronix gets a hold of her with his razor sharp teeth, she is done playing for him until she is over it. Aubrey loves to watch the dogs.....she crawls after them and gets upset when they out maneuver her and she cannot get to them quick enough to put her hands on them.

Ronix seems to be smart and a quick learner. No accidents since we have been home and we are fortunate that he can already hold his bladder through the night! We just can't wait for him to outgrow his teeth!

Following Bay everywhere....doesn't Bay look enthused!
Ava and Daddy in identical positions......and no this was not staged!
Aubrey wondering where Ronix is!
Our sweet boy!
Ronix and his Momma....making sure he has his bone!

Celebration of Thirty Four!

Yesterday I turned thirty four!!! When I came home from work on Friday, Ava greeted me with a handmade card & cake that she made with assistance from sweet Kristin! She also gave me a green ball as a present. Then she told me she was going to buy me a pillow pet with money from her piggy bank. Sweet little gift giver! This was the first year that Ava understood what my birthday was and it was so sweet to see her celebrate it with us!

This morning Anthony and Ava brought me coffee in bed. Ava and Aubrey got me some awesome Nike Trainer 1 shoes. They have great taste!

Anthony gave me the most amazing love letter.....nothing of monetary value can compare to the words he wrote on that piece paper!! It is by far on of the best presents I have ever received from him!
Reading my love letter....Ava is a little bored!
Sunshine woke up for the festivities!
Coffee in bed with Doodlebug and Sunshine.
Really, does life get any better?

We went to dinner at Bin 303 with some great friends and it was a wonderful evening.
Me & my HOT DATE!!!!
Kathy, Jill, Me, Kristi & Cindy

On Sunday we had a great lunch with Harmony and Pepaw that was kid free since the girls stayed the night with my parents. When I went to pick up the girls, Ava had gotten me a birthday balloon, cupcakes and a beautiful flower arrangement in a pumpkin container. Papa drove her to the store to pick it out and she somehow convinced Papa to get her and Aubrey a toy, too!

Thirty four is off to a great start! I have to say my thirty's have been better than my twenties. I am not sure if it is because I am a little more comfortable in life.......but I am pretty sure it is because instead of 1 great love that I had in my twenties, I now have 3 great loves to share life with in my thirties!
God is so good!

Meet the Preschool Teacher

Today we met Ava's teachers for the school year, Mrs. Christy and Ms. Maxine. Mrs. Christy and I discovered that we were in choir in middle school together. (I should have never been in choir, but I really wanted to sing!) Ava found it comical that Mrs. Christy and Mommy went to school together when mommy was little!

Ava getting ready to meet her teachers!

Aubrey wants to go to school too! Always trying to do what her sissy does!

Ava wouldn't get her picture with her teachers, but she told me she liked them! I think Ava is excited about going to school, but she tells me that she wants to stay home with me. My sweet "baby" girl!

Look who's 10 months old!

During the past month, Aubrey has been exploring like crazy! She loves to crawl around independently and find all of the doorstops and plugs. She has already pulled out a nightlight from the wall. She has taken a couple of steps on her walker by herself and has stood several seconds by herself. We have tried to give her some foods with more texture such as mushed bananas, yogurt melts and puffs, but she hasn't all the way decided that she wants to explore them.

She hasn't said any new words, but still loves to spit! GiGi and Papa taught her to high five and Harmony got her to clap! She waves high and bye all of the time. She loves all dogs, but especially Mr. Bay!

She had her first fussy teething experience. She had several days of fever and discomfort. Little Miss Sunshine is always happy, but during this time she would smile and wave and then break out into a cry while waving. She wanted so badly to be happy-poor baby.  Motrin, teething tablets and TLC helped her through it.

While going through her teething days, she got up in the middle of the night several times for some TLC from her parents. During one of these nights, she put her arms around my stomach and literally hugged me while laying her head on me for 5 minutes or so. This was the first time she had done this and the tender moment brought tears to my eyes. It was so precious.....just like our 10 month old baby girl is!

Labor Day Fun!

Saturday we woke up to the most gorgeous weather. We had to go outside and enjoy it! Daddy got the kite and I got the wagon out to take the girls for a spin! This was Aubrey's first time in the wagon and to see a kite. She was mesmerized by it!

The princess is here! Well actually she told us she was a king!
First wagon ride as sisters!
Mesmerized by the kite....would love to know what she is thinking!

Bay got in on the fun by hunting down the kite.....I think he felt like a young dog and was so proud of himself when he "caught" it! Anthony was actually reeling the kite in. We also enjoyed a little playground time!

This was a great morning and awesome start to Labor Day fun! I love my family and feel blessed beyond measure
Whew! These two are worn out!

Where is Jesus?

Yesterday Ava was at GiGi's house playing in the rain. Here was their conversation:

Ava: GiGi, is Jeeshus in heaven?
Gigi: Yes, He sure is!
Ava: No he's not!! He's eveywhere!! Come on Jeeshus lets play!

I guess she schooled GiGi!
