Bone Feeling

After reading our bedtime stories, Ava asked my how come she couldn't feel Jesus. I explained to her that when she was ready to make God the boss of her life and ask Him to live in her heart forever, she would feel him. Ava replied "I'm already ready"! "How do I ask Him to be the boss of my life"? I explained that she would need to pray to Him to be the boss of her life and come into her heart to live there forever.

Ava closed her eyes and prayed the following "Jesus, please be the boss of my life......Mommy, what is the rest". I answered "live in your heart forever". Ava continued "And please live in my heart forever. I love you Jesus. Amen".

Afterwards, Ava said to me "I hope I can feel him now". She closed her eyes tightly with her hands on her chest. Then she open her eyes and said "Momma, I can't feel him. I just feel my bones"!

Nothing sweeter then nighttime conversations with Ava. I can't believe that she is already asking good questions and beginning her relationship with Christ!  And I love the innocence of the last comment. It made me laugh. I understands how she feels......hard to understand when God is silent!

Bouncing Care Bear Birthday Party!

The day had FINALLY come...Ava's 4th birthday party!!! We had the Care Bear plates, napkins, cake and balloons. We had Care Bear party favors. We had a Care Bear shirt and necklace. To top it off, we had great friends and bounce houses. Ava was so excited! She was truly grateful and exuberant about her birthday party. At the end of the party, this was our conversation:

Ava: Momma, did you and Daddy buy the bounce house place?
Me: Yes
Ava: Did you buy the Care Bear plates and napkins?
Me: Yes
Ava: Did you buy the cake?
Me: Yes
Ava: Did you buy the gifts for my friends?
Me: Yes
Ava: Did you buy the pizza and drinks?
Me: Yes
Ava: Did you buy the balloons?
Me: Yes
Ava: Thank you so much mommy. This was the best party ever! I am so grateful (yes, she said grateful) for my bounce houses, pizza, cake, balloons, cups, plates and party. I really appreciate it! Your the best mommy and daddy ever!

Look Who's 4!!!

Today our doodlebug turned 4 years old! Since it was Mother's Day weekend, we decided to go ahead and give Ava her gifts from us and have her party the following weekend. Ava is VERY into Carebears. She prays to God almost every night that He would "make her a carebear, even though they are pretend, please make them real.....I want to go to care-a-lot and live with the carebears in the clouds and please give me a rainbow belly badge!" All she has asked for was Rainbow Brite Carebear for her birthday. Well, FYI.....these things are vintage and not cheap. Daddy to the rescue! He found a lot of Carebears on E-Bay. Let's just say we have almost all of the Carebears, Carebear Cousins, 6 more DVD's, books, Funshine Bear fan chain, Carebear alarm clock and step stool.  We decorated the living room with rainbow balloons and put all of the Carebears around the living room to surprise her when she woke up on her special day!

When she first woke up, she became quite upset because she found out that her party wasn't that day. After much coaxing, daddy brought her into the living room. Let the Carebear party begin!

Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day started early for me. I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Ava and Aubrey with a card attached that read "To the best mom in the world!" What a wonderful surprise! Ava created the most wonderful card for me and I got a gift card for a much needed mani and pedi! I love me some pampering!

I didn't get any pictures of Ava from this brunch. She had gone exploring with Papa. Nor did I get a picture of my and my special babies. :-( We did have a fantastic mother's day!

Ava told me tonight out of the blue, "I love you momma. Your the best momma in the world. I think I'll keep you."

Best Mother's Day present ever. I think I'll keep her, too! She is the best Ava in the world!

Mother's Day Tea

Today Ava's preschool class hosted a Mother's Day Tea. Ava was so excited that I could come to the party at her school! The first thing she wanted to show me was the food! She drew a picture of our entire family as our place setting.
