Care Bear Crazy!!!

I am not sure exactly how it happened, but Ava some how found Care Bears on the TV and well, let's just say she is IN LOVE with them. She sleeps with them and takes them everywhere! Her favorites are Sunshine Bear, Bedtime Bear, Oopsy Bear, Grumpy Bear, Surprise Bear, Share Bear and her absolute favorite is Cheer Bear. She calls Cheer Bear Rainbow Bright Bear because I made the mistake of calling her that....mixing up my childhood characters!

We were watching Toy Story 3 the other day and this is what she was doing....

Thank goodness her sweet older friend, Jordan,  gave her several of her Care Bears that she no longer plays with. These things are vintage and not cheap! 

The sweetest thing is that almost every night, Ava prays that God will make her a" real care-bear and not a pretend one, because I want to go to Care-a-lot and play on the the rainbows......". This her nightly prayer as well as thanking God for her Care-Bears!

I guess we know what type of party we will be having this year!

"Avaisms"

Tonight it was really cold so I offered to share my blanket with Ava stating that I am always cold. Her response was "that's because your old momma" and then said no thank you to my offer! Ava always makes me laugh!

It's official! We have a walker

Today Aubrey took her first steps at Gigi's house! Harmony was over visiting so both grandmothers got to see her first steps! She gave me a sample as soon as I got there! I am ecstatic that we have a walker. So Aubrey is walking around 15 1/2 months. Ava walked at the very end of her 18 months! Both of my girls could have walked much earlier, but it just took them a while to get their confidence going!

I thought I was busy with Aubrey before, but I know that it has truly just began! Go Miss Sunshine!

Pony Rides?

Today we went to a super fun birthday party complete with pony rides and a petting zoo. It never ceases to amaze me the difference in our children. Ava had to be much persauded to get on the pony for a photo op. After a couple of steps from the pony, she was done. No thank you.

Aubrey, on the other hand, rode around like she owned the place! Her very first pony ride, and I think she loved it!

Skiing Anyone?

Anthony and I took our very first snow skiing trip to Breckenridge, Colorado with some dear friends! Megan found us a fabulous condo right off of the gondola and the scenery was breathtaking. After a day of ski school, Anthony and I figured out how to "power wedge" down a green, including performing S turns. It was fun to learn something new, but I decided that skiing was a lot of work!

That night, we had a beautiful sleigh ride in the mountains, overlooking the city of Breckenridge. The next day I did a little shopping, while Anthony took to the greens (and even a blue) with the gang. He did great!!!

 

On Saturday, I decided I would give skiing the old college try (again).

After a successful run down a green mountain, I asked Anthony if we could call it a day and go shopping for the girls! We also took some time out to go snow tubing which was so much fun!!!





I love the scenery, but I am DEFINITELY a beach girl. The company was awesome and I am glad we go the opportunity to go!





First Prayer

Aubrey has officially joined us in praying at bedtime. She folds her hands together every night after we put her done. It is the sweetest thing ever!
