"Faux Hawk"

Our cottonball head, Aubrey, has the funniest hair! It is different lengths and longer in the middle; absolutely perfect for a faux hawk! Daddy worked his magic and this is what we ended up with:

I think she digs it!

Friday Fun with Harmony

On Friday we met Harmony for a fun day at the mall!  We played on the indoor playground, had lunch and got one toy! Harmony also treated us to a game of neon putt-putt golf! Ava continued the fun with a sleepover at Harmony and Pepaw's house.
Thanks for a fun Friday, Harmony!

"Avaisms"

I often want to blog funny sayings that Ava says. I'm going to call these blog posts "Avaisms". Today Ava was getting disciplined by daddy. Daddy said to Ava, "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to have to spank your tail." Ava replied "I don't have a tail. I'm NOT a dinosaur!"

Classic. We couldn't help but laugh out loud. Kids say the darndest things! :-)

A Date With Daddy and a Little Lady

Today Ava had a very special "date" with her daddy. Since the day we found out we were expecting a baby girl, Anthony has always talked about taking her shopping. I knew this date would include a little retail therapy! We all went to the mall together. Daddy started the date by taking Ava to Build A Bear Workshop while Aubrey and I went sight seeing around the mall.

Ava picked out a camo bear much to her daddy's delight!

Here she is making a wish as she they put the "heart" inside of the bear!

She is brushing her bear to make her soft.

She picked out a swim outfit for her bear. She has been asking for a swim shirt all summer because her Papa wears one.

She wanted bunny slippers to finish off the product.

She named the bear "Alex the Girl Bear." Here she is completing Alex's birth certificate!

Aubrey hung out with mommy while they were on their date! We visited the ducks and turtles! Aubrey enjoyed herself by spitting bubbles for 45 minutes straight! Notice how red her cheeks are!

Afterwards, we all met up for pizza and ice cream. Aubrey decided she would feed herself!

Aubrey had her first taste of pineapple orange sorbet. I think the cold was a bit much for her! Check out this face......and no, she isn't crying, just making a sour face!

She decided she would rather eat her foot instead!

We then went shopping for some crocs and clothes! Ava also got a small cow to add to her animal collection.

Aubrey missed two naps, but handled the "date" like a champ! Here she is snuggling with mommy after a very long day!

 Build A Bear Workshop -$45

Pizza & Ice cream -$20

A special day for daddy and his daughter ~ PRICELESS!
